BLOOD SAVER Hemostatic Gauze Pad, 20×20 cm
BLOOD SAVER is a highly effective medical device manufactured in Ukraine, designed for the rapid control of non-critical bleeding. The pad is based on active hemostatic components and helps stop bleeding within minutes. Thanks to its compact size and sealed packaging, it is an essential component of individual first-aid kits, including home, tactical, and vehicle first-aid kits.
Key Features and Composition
Active base: A chemical hemostatic composition based on kaolin. Upon contact with the wound, kaolin activates the body’s natural blood-clotting process — the coagulation cascade — promoting the rapid formation of a stable blood clot.
Format: Sterile 20 × 20 cm gauze pad in vacuum-sealed packaging.
Safety: BLOOD SAVER components have hemostatic, antiseptic, and wound-healing properties. Instructions for application and removal are provided on the packaging.
Directions for Use
- Assess the bleeding. Make sure that the use of a hemostatic agent is necessary.
- Tear open the package at any of the notches and remove the hemostatic gauze pad.
- Press the pad firmly and directly onto the source of bleeding and maintain pressure for 3–5 minutes, or until the bleeding has completely stopped.
- Secure the hemostatic gauze pad on the wound using an adhesive plaster, dressing, or standard bandage.
- Reassess the bleeding. If bleeding continues, apply an additional pressure dressing over the pad or use an additional hemostatic agent.
Removal Instructions
- Carefully remove the hemostatic gauze pad from the wound.
- Thoroughly rinse the wound with water or saline solution.
Important Warnings and Restrictions
- For external use only.
- The package should be opened immediately before use. If the package is damaged or has been opened, the sterility of the product cannot be guaranteed and the product must not be used for its intended purpose.
- The product is single-use only and must not be reused. Re-sterilization is not possible.
- Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use for intimate hygiene.
